I begin each piece by randomly stringing the gemstones, mixing elements that I like they way they look together just laying in a dish.
The amount I string is decided by whether I feel these elements should make an elaborate piece (- okay, so I always think that -) or a more subdued one (- yeah, right!). Then I began twisting and shaping, trying to create - as Mother Nature does -an unpredictable vine of flowers and leaves.
As the piece starts to take it's shape, I just let it become - let it tell me where it wants to go. I think that's why I've been told by some that they can feel the energy in them. Sometimes I'm nervous about the direction, sometimes I'm excited, sometimes I'm not even paying attention because I'm so taken by the natural beauty of the elements together.
The next step in their creation is to then make sure they are wonderful to wear. It is my responsibility as their mother and your friend to make sure that they lay beautifully and feel great. So I confess, I've worn them for a while to be sure. I have to! - they're my babies! I look in the mirror alot. Jump around and see if they land right. Put them through the ringer of possibilities the woman that loves my designs might do. AND THIS IS NO EASY TASK! - though I have given up on the cartwheels!
Only after they pass the "Mom" test can they be released to you to serve you many years of wearing bliss.
In their presentation I've tried to give you as much information as I can to help you decide, with confidence, if any of the pieces should have a new home. Please feel free to write or call if there is still any questions you may still have. They are sold on a first come, first served basis and can't be duplicated. Since they are already made, they ship immediately - unless I'm at a show. New pieces are always being created so if you would like to be informed of their arrival be sure and join the mailing list that offers that option. See the link at the top of the page.
