How do I clean the earcuffs? For earcuffs done in certain gemstones we recommend this
cleaning solution made up of regular household cleaning products. Just mix up the solution in a small jar, drop the ear cuff into it and shake it up a bit, let it sit for a few minutes and
Voila!!, they come out shiny clean! Gemstones
NOT recommended are: turquoise, malachite, freshwater pearls, lapis. Gemstones it works great for include: all sterling, all goldfilled, black onyx, garnet, jade, tiger's eye, hematite, amethyst, and red jasper.
How do I clean the sterling necklaces? While no one will lie to you and tell you it's fun - I generally use a toothbrush and silver polish, stroking the toothbrush in the direction of the twist. You won't have a problem of tarnish with the goldfilled selections.
Also, try baking soda. Cover the piece with baking soda and rub gently with your fingers or a soft cloth.
And yet one more idea! If you've got a Dremel tool - what girl can live without one? - Using the polishing brush attachment No. 403 is my choice.
Where can I view an example of the different gemstones offered? The
Vine Necklace Page is a good source to view lapis, leopard jasper, tiger's eye, malachite, hematite and snowflake obsidian. Scroll down the page and click on the designs "Close-up" option.
If the ear cuffs lose their shape can I reshape them? Yes. The cuff portion (the heavier gauge wire that hugs the ear) can be reshaped easily around a Magic Marker. I have literally driven the car over an earcuff and been able to revive it. Of course, an earcuff going through that severe a trauma also requires some special jewelry tools to save it, but it certainly is testimonial to their resiliency!!
Can the twisted wire pieces be repaired?Yes, in most cases we can repair a damaged piece. It's kindof tricky so I wouldn't recommend trying it yourself if you've never worked with wire. While all work is done with one entire length of wire, additional strands are woven into the piece where more weight or strength is needed. Applying this technique, repairs can usually be made without detection.
How long is delivery? Generally, the earcuffs are shipped within two business days of the order, unless there is a supply shortage. In which case, we'll let you know how long it is expected to take. Necklaces and bridal can take longer, but you will be notified if it will take longer than five business days. If you have a rush, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Occasionally, a bride asks us if she can order two or more tiaras with the intention of choosing one and returning the rest. Since handcrafted tiaras are time consuming to create, we must collect a 25% restocking fee on the returned tiaras in these circumstances.
What is the difference between a crystal and a rhinestone?
Swarovski manufactures both crystals and rhinestones, and both are made out of leaded crystal (like a Waterford vase). "Crystals" are beads made out of leaded crystal, while "rhinestones" are solid chunks of leaded crystal cut into faceted shapes in the same manner as a diamond (e.g. marquise cut, princess cut, round cut, etc.). By cutting Swarovski rhinestone chain and stringing them through where the chain connector was, we are able to use the brilliance the rhinestone offers in the designs while maintaining the security stringing beads offers.
How do I care for my tiara?
Your tiara features genuine freshwater pearls, and should be treated with the same care as a genuine pearl necklace. Basically, that means you should be careful around chemicals -- including hairspray and perfume, two items you'll be likely to use on your wedding day. These products are very corrosive, and can damage your new tiara. Just remember to tell your stylist to give you that final spray before he or she sets the tiara in place.
If you ordered a tiara with sterling silver work the following advice is particularly apropos, but it's good general information for anyone. Sterling silver can tarnish if it is kept in humid conditions, or is touched too much. Harsh silver polish is as damaging to freshwater pearls as perfume and hairspray, so your goal is to prevent tarnish from starting. If possible, store your tiara in a cool, dry place. You can help to create a dry place by using a product called Pacific Cloth. It is available at most container and hardware stores, and even comes in zippered-bag form. This material helps to prevent moisture from reaching your tiara. It is widely used to wrap sterling flatware sets and line sterling drawers.
I have also heard it recommended to store sterling items in a plastic ziplock bag with tin foil - though I've never tested that theory.
Do you do custom designs?
We are always delighted to work on custom designs or orders. Please feel free to email us to talk about design ideas and begin the process.
